Ajit Jogi former Chhattisgarh chief minister passed away
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi passed away this afternoon after a long illness. He was admitted to a private hospital in Raipur after a cardiac arrest on 9 May. He breathed his last today during treatment.
He has been undergoing treatment at Narayana Hospital in
Jogi capital Raipur for the last 21 days. Jogi was in a coma since then. The
team of experts, under the leadership of Dr. Sunil Khemka and Dr. Pankaj Omar,
the director of the hospital was continuously monitoring his health for 24
hours.

expressed grief over the death of Ajit Jogi. He tweeted that I am saddened by
the death of senior Chhattisgarh leader and former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi. I
pay my respects at his feet. My condolences to the heartbroken family. May God
give peace to the departed soul and provide support to his family in this
difficult time.

Jogi was hospitalized on 9 May following a cardiac arrest.

Jogi stayed in Congress for a long time
Jogi, who became the first Chief Minister after the
formation of a separate Chhattisgarh state was associated with the
Chhattisgarh Janata Congress Party in his last time. He formed this party
himself. However, before that he played long innings in the Congress. Jogi,
who left politics as an IAS, was a member of the state assembly, Lok Sabha,
Rajya Sabha and the Union Cabinet.
Funeral
on Saturday
Ajit Jogi's son Amit Jogi confirmed the news of the former
CM's death on Twitter. He also informed that the funeral will be held on
Saturday at Goraila, the birthplace of Ajit Jogi.
