Air India pilot has found COVID positive, Flight for Moscow come to Delhi
New Delhi: Air India diverted the aircraft towards Delhi
after COVID confirmed this to the pilot.
COVID confirmed to the pilot that the aircraft had been inspected before takeoff. However, when the matter went unnoticed, the flight was allowed.
Air India's A-320 Neo (VT-EXR) took off from Delhi
International Airport this morning. It was a flight to take Indians to Moscow.
But when the pilot came to know that the pilot was COVID
positive, the plane went to Uzbekistan and returned to Delhi although the cabin
crew tested the COVID crew, the pilot did not notice that the COVID was
positive. All the crew aboard returned to New Delhi at 12.30 pm and were kept
in quarantine. Air India sent another aircraft to Moscow.
Officials said that every day many COVID were inspecting
and in Delhi alone more than 300 crew members were inspected daily. All the
verification results come in the excel sheet. Authorities said it was a mistake
from the person who investigated the results.
After the flight, which examined the test results for a
second time, the pilot's test result was positive. Flying the plane took off
two hours after the flight. Officials said the aircraft was immediately flown
to Delhi.
